Before ordering, please check out our recent review of a slightly different model variant of the 2023 HP Omen 17. Among other things, we praised the gaming laptop for its decent 165Hz display as well as the quick SSD and the second available M.2 slot. Furthermore, we liked HP’s software that allows undervolting, although the machine’s battery life, noisy cooling system and underperforming RTX 4080 didn’t exactly impress us. But as it approaches the US$2,000 mark, the Core i7-13700HX-equipped notebook is a solid choice in this price range until other competitors receive similar discounts.
